Non-destructive Studinspection

This no destructing inspection-method is used to make a 100% check of the studs, welded by capacitor-discharge or short-Cycle method. In this way you have got a quantification of all welded studs by checking with a fix parameter, the torsion-moment. This stud inspection-method is depending on the torsion-moment check of DIN EN ISO 14555, (picture 4a). A torsion-moment is preceded by a torsion meter in a defined distance to the stud. In case of checking in this way, you get a defined stress in the welding-zone. The inspection-moment parameter is taken from a table which you get with this inspection kit.
You can edit the torsion-moment on the torsion meter by screwing at the end of it
(0-10 Nm). Each parameter from the table belongs to the specified stud diameter, the specified material   and the thickness of the plate. This parameters is exactly the border between the elastic and the plastic deformation of the stud or the plate.
If you have a thickness-ratio of plate to stud  smaller then 1:2, there will be  a plastic deformation on the plate. This is considered in the different tables.

Parts of the inspection kit:

· 1 torsion meter
· 5 Studadapter M3 - M8
· 1 allen key  4mm
· 1 parameter table
  (standard is for thickness 1.5mm)

With this tool you’ve got a fast end easy, no destructing inspection method, to make a quantification of the welding quality. This is very useful when working on base of
ISO 9000 ff.
