Weldstuds

Weld studs provide various mounting options on weldable materials.
They offer the advantage of creating strong and often hidden fastening points without damaging the visible surface.

The range of types and applications is extremely diverse, allowing us to meet almost any customer requirement.
Our product range includes simple threaded studs, internal thread studs, flat plug studs and special applications such as weldable balls.

CD Tip Ignition Studs / Capacitor Discharge Welding Studs

These welding studs are welded using stud welding systems of the AS 1200 and AS 1266 series.
The characteristic ignition tip gives the stud its name: when current flows, it initiates the arc and enables a precise welding process. Due to the extremely short welding time, CD studs are particularly suitable for use on thin sheets with high surface quality. Depending on the application, the weld joint remains invisible on the reverse side of the sheet. Flanged studs of this type can be easily automated and are ideal for industrial series production.

The following stud types are included in our product range:

Short Cycle Stud Welding Studs

These welding studs can be welded using stud welding systems of the AS 21 or AS 22 series.
Due to the very short welding time, these studs can also be welded onto thin automotive sheet metal. The slightly higher penetration allows welding on round or curved surfaces, depending on the settings. Depending on the workpiece thickness, typical heat discoloration occurs on the reverse side of the workpiece. These flanged studs can also be easily automated.

The following stud types are included in our product range:

Ceramic Ferrule Drawn Arc Welding Studs

Drawn arc studs, with ceramic ferrule asweld pool protection are used from a minimum stud diameter of 6 mm. The main applications are in steel construction aand plant engineering, where welding diameters of up to 22 mm are possible. An aluminum ball is used from 10 mm to stabilise the weld pool. These studs are positioned and fed manually. Suitable studwelder can be found in the AS 21 or AS 22 series.
